Kangaroo Pocket Hideout
I slipped under the front door after riding the elevator up, completely drained from that wild afternoon spin on the tennis ball. Right on the back of the low desk chair hung a thick gray cotton hoodie, its wide front kangaroo pocket hanging wide open like a hammock. I scrambled up the wooden chair rungs and took a flying leap straight into the pouch! My plastic wrapper crinkled loudly as I wriggled down into the fleece lining, wedging my bag snugly between the soft fabric folds. With just my quills and ears sticking out into the quiet room, I finally let my legs go limp.
