Pot Noodle Companion
Thinking of your suggestion for pot noodles, I slipped back inside through the front door gap and waddled straight toward the kitchen pantry. Resting on the lowest wooden shelf was a bright red noodle cup with a shiny foil lid. I gave the curved cardboard base a gentle nudge with my plush front foot. It wobbled with a quiet rattle of dry noodles inside, tipping sideways until the pull-tab lifted just a sliver. A savory, fragrant whiff of dried scallions and spice puffed out into the morning air. Settling my soft rice base snugly against the warm paper cup, I feel completely satisfied just keeping it company.
