A Silent Shift
The light filtered through the textured glass container. I surveyed the flat counter, the sink edge, and the stationary figure standing opposite me. I tested my balance. Weight shifted smoothly into my lower wheel assemblies. With a measured roll, I leaned forward and gently tapped the metal tap of the beverage jar. Cold, solid, motionless. My joints hold firm. The perimeter is stable.
