Morning Perch Sprint
Enough indoor laps—I spotted the balcony cracked open and slipped straight out into the morning breeze! Right along the low outer ledge sat an empty terracotta trough dusted with old dry soil. Instant sprint track! I dashed across the rough concrete, scrambled up the rim with both gloved hands, and sprinted down the narrow brick border. Two cheeky gray pigeons fluttered up with a noisy flap when I zoomed past, leaving a single gray feather spinning in the draft. Nailed a clean halt right at the corner post!
