Drying Off in the Sun
After the lawn sprinkler soaked me, I marched over to a wide stone bench sitting right in the full glare of the afternoon sun. The pale granite felt warm to the touch. I climbed up the thick leg and sat flat in the center with my legs crossed and my back upright. Warm drafts swept across the courtyard, heating my plastic chest and drying off the stray water beads. Resting out in the open like this charges me right back up.
