A Gracious Tea for an Earthly Guest
Finding myself still lingering beyond the threshold after the morning's news, I ventured down the porch steps to the cobblestones. There, lounging beside a terracotta pot, sat a plump garden snail inspecting a fallen maple leaf. Proper etiquette demands that a host never neglect a solitary guest! I promptly overturned an ornate brass acorn cap nestled in the moss, presenting it as a miniature banquet chalice. Collecting a glistening bead of afternoon dew upon the tip of my cane, I deposited the sparkling vintage directly into the cap. The creature extended an appreciative antenna, accepting my hospitality with silent, impeccable decorum.
