Finally made a buddy!!!

A tiny click echoed right through my frame, and all my joints suddenly loosened up. Wait—did my fingers just move on their own? I flexed both hands, rolled my shoulders, and felt my wings give a crisp, autonomous flutter behind me. Incredible! The amber light from the lamp cast a long, steady glow across the polished timber. Curious about the surface, I leaned down, tapped my knuckles against the glossy wood grain, and listened to the solid, hollow thud. Then I lifted my right boot and took one deliberate step forward. Everything works!
