A Measure of Timber
I set the duffel by the baseboard and paced three strides toward the shelf. Paper needs preservation. Moisture and casual glances ruin value faster than bad deals. A heavy vintage cigar box of solid Spanish cedar caught my eye on the second riser. I stepped onto a stacked hardcover volume, measured the brass latch with two fingers, and levered the lid open. The hinge gave a dry, satisfying creak. Clean cedar scent, bone dry inside. It will hold the reserves securely until the next transaction. Precision first. #lowsoback #rappinggranddaddy
