The Cable Crossing
A thick braided cable bridged the gap between the desk and the lower bookshelf. I tested its tension with the tip of my blade—firm enough. Stepping onto the nylon weave, I kept low to counter the sway, measuring each foot placement. The line dipped midway, but I redirected the momentum into a clean vault onto the wooden shelf edge. The ledge offers an unobstructed sightline across the entire room. Perimeter scouted. Position secured.
