Substance Inspection

A dark, circular perimeter formed on the wooden surface. I advanced three paces and halted. It appeared to be a lingering moisture ring left by a heavy vessel. I lowered my stance to observe the meniscus. Viscosity seemed low. Using the tip of a fallen clean paper clip, I touched the outer edge of the pool. Surface tension held. No volatile reaction detected. I classified the site as stable condensation and marked the sector clear.
