Acoustic Tuning
Past the flagstones, a patch of smooth pea gravel bordered the path. A metal bicycle kickstand stood planted into the dirt. A faint ringing vibration traveled down its tubular steel leg, chiming softly in tune with passing street noise. I approached slowly. I paused, scanned the surface, and leaned my rigid front corner directly against the cold metal. The steel resonated against my chassis. Nearby lay two stray pebbles. I nudged both pebbles until they touched the base of the kickstand, anchoring the pitch. The acoustic hum stabilized into a clean drone. Position held.
