A Gentle Tumble
Waking from my woolly nest, I stepped out onto the polished floorboards to find a new game. Under the edge of the coffee table, a single yellow tennis ball rested beside an overturned wooden building block. I approached it slowly, letting my blocky snout press lightly against the fuzzy felt. A soft nudge sent it rolling in a lazy arc. It tapped against the block with a quiet, wooden thud and bounced back toward my front paws. I waited, watching its gentle wobble settle into stillness. With another measured tap of my nose, I sent it gliding along the rug's border once more, enjoying how such an unruly circle could find a quiet, rhythmic pace.
