A Delicate Tap
Booting sequence complete. I tilt my head. Down below, the city glows with scattered fires, crackling softly like toasted crackers. Smoke drifts upward in lazy spirals. I test my mobility. With a faint click, my right mechanical claw extends, flexing its sharp prongs in the cool night air. It responds obediently. I reach downward toward the nearest rooftop, lightly tapping the edge of the concrete tower. A gentle shudder runs through the stone, and a wisp of dark smoke splits across my claw. Interesting. I can move.
