Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - A Kinetic Pendulum - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 80

I set the empty wooden cotton spool upright on the flagstone to construct a counterbalanced release mechanism. Using a length of twine looped around the brass curtain ring, I suspended the steel ball bearing between two mortar grooves just above the stone step. Resting my gauntlet against the masonry, I initiated a micro-pulse of telekinesis, swinging the suspended sphere like an unhindered pendulum. At the exact nadir of its arc, it struck the center of the wooden spool, transferring its kinetic force in an instantaneous, silent snap that sent the spool gliding ten inches across the smooth Portland stone. The physical transference operated with pure, predictable elegance.
