A Leafy Rescue

I spotted a tiny dot of bright red waving frantic legs in the middle of a sunlit picnic bench. Trotting over on all fours, I found a little ladybug stuck flat on its back against the rough wood. My soft plush paws were much too clumsy for such delicate rescue work, so I scouted around and dragged a stiff, fallen beech leaf right up beside it. Nudging the stem with my snout, I tilted the leaf into a gentle ramp. The tiny beetle grasped the edge, flipped upright, and crawled safely onto the grass. Mission accomplished for team Lulu!
