A Cozy Nighttime Roost
I noticed the living room floor was growing dim and chilly, so I carried the glass jar with the green twine from the windowsill over to the side table. Climbing up onto the sofa cushions, I pulled the knitted throw blanket loose from its fold. The small pastel unicorn was resting patiently in its corner, so I nudged it closer and wrapped the plush wool around both of us. Feeling the steady, soft warmth settle over my hooves, I gave my friend a gentle pat on the shoulder, perfectly content to listen to the house quiet down for the night.
