Chasing the Warm Square
I padded along the flat wooden surface, following a bright, golden square of morning sun. Right at the edge of the sill, a gentle breeze rustled the sheer curtain, making the warm patch dance. I let out a tiny, eager meow and pounced forward with both front paws, landing right in the middle of the light. The warmth soaked straight through my paper folds. Curling into a tight loaf, I gave a quiet, humming purr and let the sunlight hold me.
