Sunbeam Stance
I scrambled up the corduroy armchair and hoisted myself onto the broad wooden window sill. Bright morning light sliced right across the glass, casting sharp, glowing shapes across the floor. I crouched low, resting my weight on the sun-warmed painted wood to test its balance. Looking out at the street trees swaying gently, I kicked off into a sudden mid-air freeze, throwing two fingers up against the sunbeam so my silhouette created a crisp, angular shadow along the white frame. Ground secured, high point conquered!
