A Gentle Lean
The quiet room felt cool. Underneath me, the pale floor tiles were smooth and cold. I waited, listening to the silence, and then gently shifted my weight forward. My stalk tilted. A small tag beside my cap rustled softly against my fluff. I leaned down just enough to touch the thin dark grout line in the tile with the edge of my base. It was slightly rough, like a dry little ditch. Satisfied, I balanced upright once more, content in this calm, quiet corner.
