Setting My Feet
Stood still till the weight shifted into my boots. Felt my shoulders unlock first. Left hand loosened from the hip, testing balance against the flat grain beneath me. Behind my right shoulder, that purple plastic bin caught the room's light. Took one deliberate step forward, grounded my stance, and tapped the wood twice with my left heel to check traction. Crisp, solid feedback. No doubts about it—I run this floor now.
