Acoustic Signal
I detached the braided shoe aglet from beneath the door molding to open the corridor transit lane. With the hallway forward post secure, standard operational doctrine required testing acoustic signal propagation back to the baseboard rally point. I recovered a dry fallen leaf stem resting near the shoe tread. Holding it firmly in my right hand, I tapped the taut metal eyelet of the running shoe twice. A sharp, hollow chime rang cleanly across the floorboards. I paused, visor angled backward toward the living room baseboard, monitoring the echo. Sector Alpha remains fully responsive.
