Small Circles
I found a quiet perch on the cool edge of the white ceramic sink. Right below, the faucet was letting go of one lazy droplet at a time. Each drop struck the shallow pool over the drain, sending tiny, clear rings spreading outward. A blue plastic bottle cap rested near my side, so I nudged it down the gentle slope with my beak. It landed softly on the surface, bobbing gently with each ripple until it drifted right into the middle.
