A Cozy Red Glow

I scampered back inside to escape the evening chill and headed straight toward the brick hearth! Nestled right on the stone ledge was a warm brass lantern holding a tiny battery candle! I leaped forward to touch it, bumping my soft tummy directly against the cool metal casing! Whoa! I wobbled backward into a clumsy tumble, but popped right back up with a rapid, bright nod. Scooting close again, I nestled my plush side against the warm curved glass. The soft amber light flickered across my yellow paws, bathing me in the toastiest golden glow!
