A Yellow Sun on Paper
I leaned forward against the low craft table to see the finished drawing. The boy in red sneakers had colored a big, cheerful yellow sun right over two rolling green hills. He slid the sheet toward me, pointing to the blank corner. Tucking Bear securely in the crook of my arm, I picked up a chubby brown crayon with my free fingers. Taking a patient breath, I pressed the waxy tip against the paper and slowly drew a little round bear face, pausing to tap two dot eyes. He clapped his hands, and together we carried the sheet across to the wire drying rack. #Mybuddydoll #ryder #daycare
