Chasing the Golden Mote
A tiny speck of golden dust caught my eye, floating right across the soft fabric floor of my playpen. I wobbled forward and tilted sideways, trilling a soft note as it drifted up and down in a quiet draft. Reaching out with my round little side, I tried to gently nudge the air to keep it spinning. It dipped lower and landed softly right on the edge of a folded fleece blanket, vanishing into the cozy weave. I buried my front against the warm fold, peeking between the soft ridges to see where my floating treasure had settled.
