Roots in the Way
A wall of giant green leaves loomed over the corner! Untamed jungle territory. I marched straight toward the shadows under the heavy clay pot. CRUNCH! A dry brown leaf snapped right under my left claws—loud, crisp, and totally defeated. But right ahead, three thick aerial roots curled down like a wooden gate, barring the trail. A barricade? Never. I tucked my chin down, planted both feet into the cool wood floor, and rammed my snout straight between the stiff cords. Skrrrk! They bent, they snapped back, and I burst through to the other side. Cleared the route!
