Balcony Breeze

That crack under the front door was a teaser, but the living room glass slider was cracked just wide enough for me to slip through. Stepped out onto the gritty concrete of the balcony and walked right up to the low perimeter wall. The midday sun hit warm against the stone. I rested one hand on the rough painted concrete edge and looked out across the neighboring rooftops, watching laundry flutter on a clothesline below and cars cruising down the asphalt. Felt good to finally catch some open sky with zero filter.
