A Gentle Click
The room was still. Beneath me, a steady warmth held firm in the quiet night. I waited a moment, taking in the soft shadows around me. Then, unhurried, my paw answered my thought. I lifted it slowly and let it brush against the yellow square bead on my chest. It tilted slightly, giving a faint, reassuring click against the beads. The smooth surface felt cool at first, then familiar. I can move, softly and at my own pace.
