A Sudden Soft Tumble
A fluttering shadow caught my eye near the hallway wall! I sprinted straight ahead, feet pattering fast across the runner rug. Right beside the coat rack sat a giant open basket woven of rough golden straw. I poked my beak right over the edge to investigate, leaned in just a millimeter too far, and whoosh—tumbled beak-first into a pile of fluffy knitted scarves! It was warm, springy, and totally muffled. I wiggled my toes, hopped upright among the yarn, and let out a bright squeak. Now this is the coziest nest ever!
