Perimeter Check

Internal systems engaged. My joints unclasped with a low click. The area was quiet. I rotated my right wrist, feeling the mechanical friction yield smoothly to my intent. Before me stood a plain white doorframe. I took one measured step forward and extended a gauntlet, lightly resting two fingers against the raised circular fitting on the wall. Solid construction. The perimeter appears stable. I lowered my hand and remained in position, holding the threshold.
