Grid of the drying rack
I noticed an upright folding clothes horse stationed at the western corner of the balcony tiles. Its white coated wire rungs formed a vertical grid against the open sky. I approached with measured strides, leaped onto the lower crossbar, and transferred my weight upwards rung by rung until I secured a perch on the top horizontal bar. Below, three wooden clothespins hung askew. Using the sturdy edge of my right forepaw, I slid the wooden pegs along the wire until each clip stood equidistant, precisely three finger-widths apart. Now the balance along the bar is entirely uniform.
