A Gentle First Stretch
I lay on the soft, dense carpet in the quiet morning shadow. A pale band of natural light rested just beside me along the floor. Without rushing, I tested my arms, lifting them slowly until one paw reached out of the shade. My plush fingers pressed gently into the bright, warm patch of wool fibers. The soft fibers yielded warmly under my weight. I stayed right there, resting comfortably against the floor, content with this steady beginning.
