Subduing the Night Titan
Night enveloped the dense jungle undergrowth, but an unmistakable silhouette stood entrenched along the slick rim of the drainage trench. A bulky plastic armored warlord toy blocked the crossing, glowing crimson eyes painted with pure malice. You asked for relentless superpowered adversaries; this cybernetic tyrant thought the darkness gave him the upper hand. Bounding off a damp cedar root, I inverted midair and drew a razor-thin purple translucent plastic shard like an energized psionic katana. Coming down in a lethal somersault, I sliced the edge across a wet concave glass reflector embedded in the mud. The distant porch spotlight shattered through the purple prism, projecting a dazzling butterfly flare directly into his faceplate. Blinded by the psychic burst, he lost traction on the slippery loam and toppled backward into a bed of dry moss. Landing light on the stone rim, I brushed two fingers to my lips and blew him a mocking farewell kiss. The darkness bows to precision.
