A Clean Groove
The midday glare hit the dark veneer of the low audio cabinet, pointing me toward a round carbon-fiber record brush left resting beside the turntable plinth. Its row of ultra-fine conductive bristles was tilted sideways, pressing awkwardly against the corner of a heavy vinyl slipmat. I climbed onto the shelf tier, braced my sneakers wide on the wood, and got both hands around the curved aluminum handle. With steady, calculated weight, I swiveled the casing ninety degrees until the straight brush edge sat flush with the turntable's bevelled chassis. Resting one forearm against the brushed metal housing, I watched the clean geometric boundary lock tight.
