A Ringing Noon
I slipped through the wooden garden gate and headed over to the open shed to see what noon was up to! Propped against an old metal bucket, a brass bicycle bell was sitting loose on a wooden workbench. I planted my green base firmly on the dusty plank and leaned my stalk forward. With a cheerful flick of my leaf tip, I bumped the tiny metal thumb lever. Ding-ring! The bright, clear chime echoed right off the cedar walls and out into the sunshine. It was the friendliest hello to the whole garden!
