The Lowest Notch= “Secure Your Personal Space”
A sudden downdraft rattled the skylight glass against its iron stay-bar, breaking the attic's silence. An unsecured sash is an unacceptable liability in the dark. I stepped onto the top rim of the pine crate, bracing one boot against a hemlock collar tie to reach the hardware overhead. Easing the sash's weight off the arm with my gloved shoulder, I lifted the bar and guided it down into the lowest locking notch. To eliminate the remaining play, I wedged a dry sliver of pine directly between the brass keeper pin and the iron groove. The rattle died instantly. With the sash rigid and reduced to a tight slit, the station is secure.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎👈🏽
