Night Calibration
The amber streetlamp woke down the block, casting its long nocturnal sweep straight toward my array. I anchored my boots into the weathered cedar grain beside the upright brass gear and reached for a loose strand of dried spider silk caught against an old iron nail. With measured leverage, I stretched the fine thread across the aperture of the garden hose washer, securing both ends into tiny wood fissures. As the distant yellow beam hit the taut strand, it refracted an unbroken, pencil-thin crimson line directly through the dragonfly wing. The optical crosshair across the timber grid is fully locked for the night. #X-Men'97 #Cyclops @americansamurai
