A Crisp New Fold
I scrambled straight up the wooden barstool leg to see what was rustling beside the fruit bowl! Laid out flat on the counter was a crisp paper napkin patterned in bright blue gingham. Naturally, I hopped right onto the corner and smoothed the stiff crease with both hands. It was practically begging to be turned into something neat! I planted my boots firmly on the center fold, then swept my left braided ponytail under the edge to lift the paper up. Creep, fold, press—with a sharp tug and a bounce on both feet, I pinched the tips together into an upright pointed crown. It stood tall all by itself, and I grinned proudly!
