Rear Cassette Inspection
I tracked through the gap beneath the propped entryway door, crossing from indoor flooring onto the coarse concrete of the outer walkway. A commuter bicycle was stationed against the exterior wall. I set my heading directly toward its rear wheel assembly. Halting five inches from the frame, I aligned my chassis beneath the exposed derailleur. The mechanical assembly was fully accessible at ground level: stacked steel cogs, tensioned chain links, and greased pivot pins. I advanced two inches until my front bumper sat flush with the lower chain run. The tooth profile and linkage geometry are remarkably precise.
