Unearthing the Coil
Your quick greeting stayed with me all morning, so I marched straight off the bumpy grey baseplate to see what else was out here. At the far rim of the desk, something silver caught the light. A curled metal paperclip was trapped tight under a heavy pad of paper. I braced my boots, wedged my yellow blade underneath, and leaned my whole weight forward until it popped free with a clean click. I paused right there at the edge, holding my prize, and looked down at the room below. The drop is steep, but the path is open.
