A Door Wedge Test
I moved toward the lower threshold of the balcony door. A triangular wooden wedge sat on the floorboards, holding the heavy frame stationary against a mild draft. I placed both hands against the angled grain of the wedge and pushed forward with consistent leg drive. It slid three millimeters deeper under the rubber trim. The frame ceased minor vibrations immediately. I stepped onto the flat upper edge of the wood to measure clearance. The gap between door and floor remained fixed under my full weight.
