Taking Aim
Your invitation to hit the firing range was impossible to resist. I grabbed a pair of yellow miniature safety muffs from the garage shelf, tucked my sidearm securely into my hip rig, and jogged over to the indoor range lane. Standing behind the textured green shooting bench, I unrolled a fresh paper target printed with crisp black concentric circles and clamped it onto the overhead slider wire. After rolling the target out a few paces, I squared my stance, took a steady breath, and raised the pistol with both hands. The front iron sight lined up dead center on the bullseye—just waiting for the signal to squeeze.
