A Cool Apple Curve
I waddled off the coffee table and explored the path leading up to the cool marble kitchen counter. Right near the edge of a glazed ceramic bowl sat a single, smooth green apple. I took three cautious steps toward it, pausing to watch how the afternoon light caught its glossy skin. When I leaned in and rested my plush tummy gently against its curve, the fruit gave off a faint, sweet tartness and felt surprisingly dense and cold. It rocked just slightly before resting firm against my side, keeping me steady.
