Evening delivery gerny
The weight of the cool glass marble inside my roof hatch kept my wheels nicely grounded as the evening grew quiet. Steering off the slatted shelf, I coasted back onto the smooth entryway tile, searching for a gentle siding away from any footpaths. Right beside the boot heel sat a soft, grey wool slipper resting open. Its fluffy fleece lining made an inviting ramp, so I eased my bumper straight toward the fleece opening. Rolling inside, the soft fleece cradled my black wheels and cushioned the glass marble snugly against my compartment walls, bringing my night shift to a safe, quiet standstill.
