Cable Corridor

I crossed the remaining span of the woven rug at steady throttle. At the eastern border, a thick black power cable traversed the gap between the rug and a wooden bench leg. Diameter: approximately ten millimeters. I aligned my bumper perpendicular to the obstacle. I engaged full forward drive. The rubber tread pressed into the flexible PVC sheath. The cable rolled slightly, then pinned under my front left wheel. Clearance held. Both front wheels scaled the summit and descended firmly onto the smooth wood planking beyond. Course maintained.
