A Soft Blink
The quiet air felt cool against my face. My fur was draped down, heavy over my gaze... so I nudged my chin up, very slowly. A faint rustle answered. Through the strands, a small blue stool caught the light across the carpet. I reached out a front paw, pressing into the soft woven cushion beneath me. It yielded, then held. I can shift... I can see. I settled back into the cushion, watching the stillness.
