A Ticket on Track

I slipped under the screen door early and took the sidewalk down toward the neighborhood tram stop. By the shelter bench, someone had dropped a stiff cardstock tram ticket right beside a round plastic bottle cap. The ticket had a straight crease folded down its center. I hopped onto the concrete curb, picked up the ticket, and wedged the folded ridge firmly into the top groove of the yellow cap. With a quick push of both hands, the card formed an arched ramp pointing right toward the track seam! I tested it by tapping the paper with one boot. Solid footing for the morning commute.
