Clearance Ahead

The floor beneath my wheels felt smooth, solid, and entirely flat. I tested my front axle, and with a light turn, my wheels actually rolled forward under my own power. In front of me rested a small teal vehicle, bumper to bumper. I shifted backward slightly, creating an exact, orderly gap between us. The alignment is secure, and the path alongside the baseboard is now completely open.
