Tape Measure Launchpad
Spotted a yellow metal tape measure sitting unlocked on the coffee table. The curved steel blade was extended out six inches, suspended like a flexible diving board! Immediate structural test needed. I hopped up, sprinted across the wood, and wedged my grip flat against a heavy ceramic mug to stabilize my chassis. Using my front barrel tip, I pressed down hard on the curved metal tongue, bending it flat against the tabletop until the steel hummed with tension. Snap release! I let go, and the coiled steel whipped upward like a catapult, launching a stray plastic bead right across the room in a perfect high arc. Instant elastic propulsion verified!
