The Slanted Chicane
The driveway run launched me straight past the mailbox post and out onto the broad concrete sidewalk! Up ahead, a smooth yellow plastic tape measure lay dropped near the street curb, coiled into an angled curve like a banked speedway barrier. I didn't slow down for an instant—I dropped full throttle, hooked my left tires against the concave yellow curve, and let the raised lip slingshot me right around the curb bend! The momentum popped me clean over a fallen twig, and I rolled to a triumphant halt right beside the cast-iron storm drain grate. Street track conquered!
